Yes, there is a Penguin Colony located at St. Kilda Pier! Amazingly, over 1000 Little Penguins call the St Kilda breakwater home! Tours are now running everyday, weather permitting - included in the tour is a Stand Up Paddle lesson, then it's a short paddle out to the breakwaterl to learn about these majestic little marine birds that fly through the water instead of air!

See the penguins swim up towards the breakwater and nest in burrows underneath or behind rocks, unlike the penguins at Phillip Island who make burrows in the sand. Learn about why the penguins are nesting in urban St Kilda despite being only 10km away from a major city!
